I used to write about what makes me mad. A few years ago I began to realize that it’s often more useful to take the anger we might (understandably) feel (about any of a number of things) and aim it towards more productive ends.
The goal with the podcast is to contribute to an ongoing, wide-ranging discussion on the importance of self-actualization and expression, while I continue to make films and write things, and to just generally be an active and helpful part of the creative communities to which I belong.
Once per month, I send an email update to my list that basically takes the form of an intimate blog post, about what’s going on with me and how my work has been going. Also, my email list always gets early (often free) access to my work.
I am based in New York City but grew up in Cranston, RI. I am married with two kids who aren’t kids at all (really just a dog and a cat). I have directed four films (a feature, two shorts, and a featurette), helped write and produce two more (more shorts), and have a few additional feature-length screenplays and some TV pilots in the works. Feel free to watch my most recent short: Multiverse.
